KinJoy Events was born from a simple truth: adulting is hard. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are everywhere — and most of us don’t have an outlet that actually feels good. So I built one.KinJoy creates experiences rooted in joy, creativity, and connection. We call them JoyShops — because “workshops” are just boring. JoyShops are where people come together to make something beautiful with their hands, ground themselves in a mindful moment, and leave feeling lighter than when they walked in.
After years of bringing JoyShops to communities and organizations across Atlanta, I kept hearing the same thing from one group in particular: teachers. They’d show up exhausted, skeptical, and carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs. And then something would shift. They’d laugh. They’d create. They’d look up from what they were making and say, “I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
That’s when I knew KinJoy’s mission had a deeper calling.
TeacherJoy was born to bring that same experience — celebration, creativity, connection — directly to the people who hold schools together. Not as another program. Not as another initiative to sit through. As a moment of joy that’s actually theirs.

We believe in celebrating people — not just their achievements, but who they are. Every JoyShop is a celebration of the educators in the room. Their presence. Their humanity. Their joy.
We believe creativity is healing. When you work with your hands, something shifts. You stop planning, grading, worrying — and you just create. That’s where the magic happens.
We believe joy creates ripple effects. When teachers feel valued and connected, it changes the energy of a classroom, a hallway, a whole school. Culture is built in moments, not memos.
Nothing we do is random. Every JoyShop is designed with purpose — from the mindful lesson to the craft to the closing reflection. Joy is our strategy, not our accident.
TeacherJoy is a sub-brand of KinJoy Events, an Atlanta-based company dedicated to sparking joy, creating connections, and elevating experiences. Everything TeacherJoy does is rooted in KinJoy’s mission: to inspire and cultivate joy and well-being through experiences that address the challenges of modern life.
KinJoy serves communities. TeacherJoy serves the educators within them.
